Overview :

Bogar or Boganathar or Boyang was a Tamil Shaivite Siddhar who lived between 550 and 300 BC. He followed Kalangi Nathar. Bogar was born in Vaigavur near Palani Hills. He received his Knowledge from his mother and his grand father described in several traditions and novels.

In Bogar 7000 book, Bogar describes his native roots . Bogar went from Tamil Nadu to China and teach about enlightenment, this is mentioned in his book Bogar 7000. Also, Boghar is said to be in “Nirvikalpa Samadhi” below the garba griha of Palani Murugan hill temple.
